Application of Wear-Resistant Ceramic Tubes on Air Preheaters in Cement Plants

The role of the soot blower is indeed crucial during the operation of a boiler. It not only efficiently removes accumulated ash on the heating surfaces to ensure the boiler's output efficiency but also prevents the waste of resources such as coal. Especially in high-energy-consuming industries like cement plants, the stable performance and proper functioning of air preheaters directly impact the continuity and efficiency of the production process.

Wear-Resistant Ceramic Pipes

Despite the significant role of the soot blower, its working principle and construction are relatively uncomplicated. Generally, an air preheater consists mainly of components like soot blowing tubes and operating valves. Its core function involves utilizing the impact force of high-pressure compressed air to clear the accumulated ash on the boiler's heating surfaces. However, the soot blowing tubes, being the parts directly in contact with and bearing this impact force, often suffer severe wear.

To address the wear issue of soot blowing tubes, wear-resistant ceramic tiles are commonly used as linings. These ceramics are sintered from high-purity alumina at high temperatures, possessing extremely high hardness and surface smoothness that effectively enhance the wear resistance of the soot blowing tubes. However, it's important to note that soot blowers are typically installed on furnace walls, horizontal flues, and rear flues of the boiler, where the working environment temperatures are high, presenting a significant challenge for the installation of ceramic tiles.

In such circumstances, selecting an appropriate installation method becomes crucial. For instance, the ceramic adhesive specially made by Sanxin New Materials can maintain its adhesiveness at high temperatures. Yet, if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold, the adhesiveness might decrease, leading to loosening or detachment of the ceramic tiles. Therefore, when temperatures surpass 350°C, it's advisable to choose installation methods like bolt welding or dovetail groove installation to ensure the firm attachment of ceramic tiles.

Simultaneously, proper training for operating the soot blower is essential. Operators need to understand its principles and the correct operational methods to prevent errors or improper usage during operation. This practice can elongate the soot blower's lifespan and ensure the boiler's normal functioning.

In conclusion, despite the significant role of the soot blower in boiler operation, its maintenance and upkeep are equally crucial. Only by regularly inspecting the equipment's operational status, promptly replacing and repairing faulty components, and choosing cost-effective wear-resistant ceramics and materials, can the proper functioning of the soot blower be guaranteed. This, in turn, enhances the boiler's output efficiency, saving resource costs for the enterprise.
