A plant-wide ceramic lining project can cover equipment that shares a material stream but experiences different contact conditions. The hopper receives falling material, the chute redirects it and the pipe carries it onward. Treating these surfaces as one identical duty can obscure the most important design questions. Sanxin inquiries become more useful when each area is defined by its own wear mechanism and maintenance constraint.

Mark where material first lands, where it slides and where its direction changes. Identify areas subject to intermittent large pieces as well as surfaces carrying relatively uniform fines. Include the normal feed range and any known abnormal conditions. The purpose is not to assign a material immediately; it is to establish which loading conditions the lining proposal must address.
Use photographs with dimensions and orientation to connect the map to the actual equipment. Show welds, inspection openings, bolted joints and existing wear plates. Where records are incomplete, label the uncertain areas rather than treating the entire surface as equally worn. A targeted survey can prevent a large quotation from hiding unresolved problems at a few critical transitions.
The attachment arrangement needs to match the component geometry and operating conditions. A steel-backed panel, a bonded tile layout and a mechanically retained assembly present different installation questions. Ask how each proposed zone is supported and how it will be inspected. Do not carry an approved attachment detail from a cool accessible chute into a different service without review.
Assess impact explicitly. Ceramic hardness is relevant to some wear discussions but does not establish resistance to falling lumps or concentrated blows. Where a compliant backing is proposed, ask about the complete panel construction, temperature range and the conditions behind any impact-related evidence. Avoid assuming that the presence of rubber alone qualifies the assembly for every loading pattern.
Consider a hypothetical transfer point with coarse pieces landing near the inlet and fines sliding along the lower chute. The plant proposes separate review zones for landing, sliding and discharge. It can examine a candidate panel for the landing area and a different tile layout downstream, while checking the boundary between them. This example illustrates a design discussion, not a completed Sanxin project or an assured material combination.
The transition between zones deserves its own drawing. Check for ledges, unsupported ends and fasteners exposed to the stream. If one section is replaceable independently, show the access and removal sequence. A zoned design is useful only if it can be assembled and maintained without creating new weak points at the edges.
Choose the first location according to the business problem and the ability to inspect it. Record the initial lining layout, operating conditions and maintenance baseline. Define what the plant will observe, such as edge damage, attachment condition and the extent of surface loss. Make the observation points repeatable so the next maintenance decision rests on comparable information.
Send Sanxin the zoned drawing, material description and planned inspection method. Identify which surfaces are included now and which remain possible later work. Ask proposals to explain the reason for each lining arrangement and any assumptions requiring confirmation. Expanding a lining project should follow evidence from the relevant duty, rather than an inference that success in one zone proves suitability throughout the plant.
Only after the individual duties and interfaces have been reviewed. Shared conveyed material does not make impact, sliding, temperature, geometry and maintenance access identical. A zoned specification makes those differences visible before ordering.
