A ceramic liner can be proposed with bonding, mechanical retention or a composite arrangement. Choosing among them requires the actual equipment and service conditions, not a universal preference for one method. For a Sanxin inquiry, ask what each offered construction needs from the substrate, installer and inspection plan. A method is useful when its requirements can be met and verified in the intended installation.

Identify the substrate material, shape and observed condition. Show corners, openings and regions exposed to concentrated contact. Include temperature, chemical exposure and known impact events. High ceramic hardness does not establish impact tolerance, and the attachment needs its own assessment. A proposal suited to an accessible flat wall may require a different review inside a curved or enclosed component.
State whether changes to the substrate are permitted. Holes, welds and structural modifications require the appropriate equipment-owner approval. Do not assume that mechanical fixing is automatically possible or that bonding avoids every design responsibility. Each offered arrangement should identify how contact loads reach the accepted supporting structure.
For bonding, request the actual preparation, application and curing requirements. Determine whether the site environment and schedule can satisfy them. For mechanical retention, request the approved drawing and installation instructions, including relevant inspection requirements. Avoid substituting generic torque, welding or adhesive advice for the specific accepted construction.
Identify hidden-work hold points before fitting starts. Substrate condition, backing support or attachment details may become inaccessible after the ceramic face is in place. Agree which records and checks must be completed before concealment. A clean finished surface does not independently establish that the selected procedure was followed underneath it.
Suppose a hypothetical plant compares two retention proposals for a confined hopper. One requires environmental conditions the available shutdown cannot yet provide; the other needs an owner-approved substrate change. The plant records both constraints and resolves them before choosing a construction. This example illustrates feasibility review, not a Sanxin recommendation or a claim that either method is inherently preferable.
The comparison also considers removal and renewal. Ask which pieces can be replaced independently, what substrate work may be needed and how the boundary with retained lining will be inspected. An attachment that is practical to install once may create a different maintenance challenge later. Keep those requirements in the purchasing scope.
Provide the substrate drawing, photographs, operating description and site constraints. Identify the available installation environment, access and maintenance window. Ask each proposal to define the support, attachment procedure, inspection points and renewal arrangement. Clarify which party provides materials, installation and acceptance records so interfaces do not remain unassigned.
Record the accepted method and any deviations with the final layout. At later inspections, distinguish ceramic face condition from attachment movement, separation or substrate damage. Use that evidence when reviewing a future construction change. Retention selection is strongest when it follows a feasible, inspectable process for the specific equipment, rather than treating a familiar method name as proof of reliability in every duty. Include the accepted hold points in the work package available to the installer and the inspection representative.
Neither label decides suitability. Review substrate changes, loading, environment, access, installation procedure and inspection evidence for the offered construction. Choose an arrangement whose requirements the site can meet and whose condition can be evaluated appropriately.
