A pneumatic conveying line is a connected system, so improving one wear surface can change conditions elsewhere if its passage or transitions change. Ceramic lining should be reviewed in that system context. The task is to protect a documented wear zone while preserving an acceptable conveying arrangement. Start with the existing operating record and connection geometry rather than considering a lined spool as an isolated purchase.

Record the conveyed material, feed-size variation, moisture and operating sequence. Include starts, stops and any known blockages. Obtain the relevant conveying-system information from the equipment owner, including the permitted operating envelope. Abrasive wear concentrated during an upset may need a different response from wear accumulated during steady operation. A description consisting only of a powder name does not resolve that distinction.
For a hypothetical transfer line, operators may report that damage increased after a feed change even though the pipe remained unchanged. Compare material records and operating logs before selecting a new lining. Do not assume that every wear problem can be corrected by adding ceramic. Address unstable feed or another process problem through the system review while assessing suitable protection for the actual duty.
Request the usable bore of the complete lined assembly at its ends and along the protected passage. Confirm how it joins neighboring spools, valves or bends. A reduction in flow area or an abrupt step deserves review by the conveying-system owner. Matching external pipe size or flange holes alone does not establish that the internal passage is acceptable.
Draw the lining terminations and identify exposed edges. Review alignment and the gasket arrangement so that installation does not introduce an unintended obstruction. Where the proposal changes geometry, ask what additional system checks are needed before approval. A ceramic material property cannot answer whether the modified conveying path meets the required process performance.
Ask how the ceramic will be supported and retained inside the spool. Include joint positions, segment arrangement and inspection access. Consider the loading associated with material strikes or blockages separately from sliding abrasion; high hardness is not evidence of unlimited impact tolerance. Where hot gas or warm powder is involved, assess the limits of backing, adhesive and retention as well as the ceramic.
The pressure-containing and structural functions remain part of the equipment design. Confirm the shell, connections and supports through the appropriate review, including any change in component mass. Do not treat a ceramic layer as proof that the assembly has a particular pressure rating. Request the information relevant to the actual supplied construction and its accepted use.
Before startup, document the lined spool and adjoining surfaces that could be affected by a changed transition. At planned inspections, look for new localized wear, chipped edges, buildup and attachment damage. Retain operating data with the observations. If wear appears beyond the protected zone, investigate the material path rather than assuming that the liner has merely moved the problem in an unavoidable way.
Send Sanxin the system arrangement, connection drawings and a marked wear map with the inquiry. Identify the fixed bore and the conditions under which the component must operate. Agree on a first installation with defined inspection access and acceptance criteria. Use the result to assess this system configuration before repeating the same detail in less accessible or differently loaded sections.
The review depends on the proposed changes. Lining thickness, transitions, alignment and surface condition can affect the passage, so the equipment owner should confirm the assembly's suitability within the conveying system. Preserve accepted geometry where required and document any departure before installation.
