Identify the Dust Actually Reaching a Worn Duct Before Selecting Ceramic Protection

The material description at a worn dust-duct section should reflect what reaches that location. An upstream feed name may be useful context without fully describing the contacting stream. Preserve relevant sample and operating information before selecting a ceramic lining. A Sanxin inquiry should identify the component and the basis of its dust description, keeping uncertainty visible rather than assuming every part of the process handles an identical material.

Locate the component within the dust route

Show the worn duct section and relevant upstream and downstream equipment on a current drawing. Identify branches, process changes and operating campaigns. In a hypothetical plant, several sources may feed a common dust route while another branch handles a more specific stream. The inquiry should state which condition applies to the selected wear region. Do not assign total plant feed composition or throughput automatically to every branch. A useful route description connects the material record to the actual passage, without pretending that a process diagram alone determines the particle contact or proves a wear mechanism.

Keep sample identity and collection context

Use the site's approved sampling and access procedure where material information is needed. Record location, time and operating state with the sample. This article does not prescribe sampling from operating dust equipment. A sample collected after a campaign change or from an accumulated deposit may answer a different question from a representative flowing-stream sample. Preserve that distinction. Do not turn an unverified specimen into an exact description of all dust encountered by the duct. Where the information is limited, state what it represents and ask the process owner which additional evidence can address the actual selection question.

Connect material information with oriented wear evidence

Map broad loss, concentrated tracks, chipped edges and attachment findings separately. Show the installed flow direction and geometry around the damaged region. Particle descriptions can inform a wear review, but they do not establish how every particle reached the surface. Keep operating changes and known events with the map. High ceramic hardness does not establish impact tolerance at an exposed edge. A proposed lining needs support and retention evidence for the assessed duty rather than a material label selected solely because the feed is generally called abrasive.

Review environment and system boundaries

Provide temperature, moisture, chemistry and cleaning exposure relevant to the complete assembly. Ceramic, joining materials, backing and exposed support require their appropriate evidence. A ceramic property cannot rate all layers. The equipment owner should accept finished passage, support and any changes to duct configuration. Dust collection performance and system-specific hazard controls remain separate from a wear-surface choice. A lining proposal should state what it addresses and what remains outside its evidence, rather than imply that identifying the dust or adding ceramic qualifies the entire air-handling system.

Use the actual stream description in the trial record

Send Sanxin the route location, dust-information basis, wear map and accepted geometry with the inquiry. Ask for construction details and relevant material information. Preserve the installed baseline and sample context during evaluation. If the upstream process or contributing sources change, compare the new duty with the accepted brief. Later inspections should retain visibility and operating exposure. The result can support a decision for that component under the documented stream, without transferring another dust route's lifetime, assuming universal ceramic suitability or turning a limited sample into proof of every future operating condition.

Is the plant's raw-material name enough to specify a dust-duct liner?

It is background information. Identify the actual route, contacting-stream evidence, local damage and operating environment. Preserve sample context and unknowns, then review the offered complete lining for that duty. A broad feed label does not establish every duct region's exposure.
