A ceramic data sheet describes measured properties under stated conditions. A liner operates as an assembly with edges, joints, attachments and changing loads. Moving from the first to the second requires interpretation. Buyers reviewing an alumina ceramic proposal should ask what each result demonstrates, which failure mechanism it addresses and what additional evidence is needed. This avoids turning a useful property into an unsupported promise of field performance.

Hardness concerns resistance to localized indentation under a test method. It can contribute to an abrasion review, but it does not define the entire wear process. Particle shape, contact conditions and the way material strikes a surface influence service behavior. A hard surface containing an exposed, poorly supported edge may fail differently from the same material under well-supported sliding contact.
Keep impact tolerance separate. A hypothetical chute panel that loses pieces after oversize feed arrives cannot be diagnosed by hardness alone. Examine the location of breakage, support and incoming trajectory. The useful question is whether the proposed construction addresses the observed loading. Asking for an ever higher hardness number may miss the cause of the damage completely.
An abrasion result needs a method, test conditions and a clear identification of the tested material. Different abrasives, contact arrangements or reporting units can produce values that are not directly interchangeable. Request the test description before placing competing results in a ranking. A numerical comparison without this context may create confidence while comparing different experiments.
Strength results also require context such as specimen geometry and loading mode. They should not be converted casually into an allowable impact load for an installed tile. Surface damage, support and stress concentrations can change how a component behaves. Where the installation is critical, review representative component or assembly evidence in addition to standard material tests.
Chemical compatibility depends on the specific medium and operating conditions. Do not interpret a general corrosion-resistance description as acceptance for every process liquid. Identify composition, concentration, temperature and cleaning exposure where applicable. Review the ceramic and the other exposed materials separately, including joints and backing. The most vulnerable interface may govern the assembly rather than the ceramic face.
Similarly, a ceramic material's heat resistance does not establish the permissible temperature of an adhesive-mounted or rubber-backed lining. Ask for the proposed assembly's limits and the basis for them. Include thermal cycling and shutdown conditions in the application description. A steady operating value alone can miss a temperature excursion or differential movement that affects the attachment.
List the actual failure mechanisms alongside the available evidence. Identify which are supported by material results and which depend on installation or operating observations. For a representative trial, document initial condition, support, transitions and inspection locations. Compare wear and damage at those locations while retaining the process record. This provides a bridge between laboratory information and the installed application.
When approaching Sanxin, send the data requirements with a description of the component and its duty. Ask for material identification and relevant test information, then review the proposed construction as a separate item. Accept uncertainty where evidence is incomplete and define the next check. A well-documented qualification is more useful than treating a collection of favorable properties as a service-life forecast.
It can help assess material behavior under the test conditions, but an installed replacement date also depends on loading, geometry, attachment, operating history and the chosen wear limit. Use relevant tests to inform selection and use a controlled inspection record to evaluate the application itself.
