Identify the Separator Duty Before Requesting an Alumina Ceramic Liner

A translated equipment name can hide a significant specification gap. Terms such as cyclone and separator may appear in a purchase list without identifying the actual machine or the component needing protection. Before requesting an alumina ceramic liner from Sanxin, establish the equipment identity from controlled records. The inquiry should describe the real duty, rather than allowing a familiar name to stand in for the missing engineering information.

Start with the installed equipment reference

Provide the equipment tag, manufacturer reference where available and current drawing revision. Identify the item within the assembly: an inlet region, body section, outlet or other component. A general photograph can help orientation, but it should be linked to the drawing. Mark the precise wear-protection boundary so the supplier does not infer that every internal surface belongs to the proposed scope.

Check terminology across the maintenance record, purchasing description and translated inquiry. If the names differ, retain the original equipment reference and explain the relationship. Do not select a lining construction merely because a previous order used the same English noun. Different machines, duties and internal functions can be grouped under similar commercial descriptions without being interchangeable for specification purposes.

Describe the medium and operating role

State what enters the equipment and which phases or streams are involved. Include the material characteristics and environmental conditions relevant to contact with the proposed lining. Identify the actual separation or collection function in the process. Where information is unavailable, flag the gap for the equipment owner rather than filling it with assumptions taken from a broadly similar installation.

For example, a hypothetical procurement team may receive an old description that identifies only a ceramic cyclone lining. The drawing and process record might reveal a different supply boundary from the one assumed by the purchasing team. Resolving that identity first prevents an irrelevant quotation comparison. The example illustrates document clarification and does not describe a verified installation or product supplied by Sanxin.

Preserve the geometry that performs the function

Ask the equipment owner which dimensions and interfaces are functionally important. The proposed liner and its attachment occupy space within the assembly. Their effect on finished geometry needs review against the identified equipment, including transitions and access. A material's resistance to surface wear does not by itself establish that a changed internal shape will preserve the required process outcome.

Record how the finished assembly will be checked and who accepts it. Some interfaces may be concealed after installation, making staged inspection useful. Keep dimensional acceptance separate from material verification and process commissioning. If a design change is proposed, identify the responsible reviewer and required evidence. An apparently close fit is not a substitute for acceptance of the actual functional geometry.

Request an offer against a resolved identity

Send Sanxin the confirmed equipment reference, marked component drawing and duty description. Ask for an explicit construction and supply boundary, together with the evidence relevant to the proposed role. Where a liner is supplied separately from its supporting assembly, identify who checks the complete installed item. Avoid allowing a quotation heading to become an unintended statement of overall equipment capability.

Retain the resolved terminology with the approved purchase record. Future spare orders should use the same component identification and current revision rather than reverting to the ambiguous legacy name. The result is a clearer inquiry and replacement record. It does not establish a particular separation efficiency or service life; those outcomes require evidence from the identified equipment and operating conditions.

Is the name ceramic cyclone liner enough for a replacement order?

Usually the order also needs the actual equipment reference, component boundary, current drawing and operating duty. Resolve inconsistent names before comparison, and keep material, finished geometry and process acceptance as distinct parts of the evidence.
