Small alumina tiles can be described by an individual piece dimension while a layout drawing controls the spacing between repeated positions. Those are different measurements. For a Sanxin replacement inquiry, state which quantity the supplied dimension represents. An individual tile width does not automatically describe the installed repeat spacing, and a repeated layout distance should not be copied into the part drawing as if it were the ceramic width.

For a piece dimension, identify the actual ceramic edges or other specified part features. For a repeat dimension, identify corresponding locations on adjacent positions in the layout. A clear marked drawing helps the supplier see whether the question concerns one tile or the arrangement of several tiles.
Keep the measuring direction and relevant surface visible. An oblique photograph can make tile widths and spacing appear different without establishing either controlled dimension. Do not infer the intended quantity from the number alone or from a supplier's common product size. Ask which dimension is specified when the original note uses an ambiguous term such as spacing.
The installed repeat arrangement may include the specified separation between pieces. Record that relationship from the accepted drawing rather than assume that tiles are tightly touching or that a common joint width applies. A mesh sheet, loose-piece set or other delivery form does not by itself establish the final joint geometry.
This article does not prescribe a joint dimension or tell an installer how to position the tiles. The responsible layout should define the intended arrangement and its applicable tolerances. Procurement should preserve those distinctions so a part-size check does not silently approve a different installed pattern or suggest an unreviewed adjustment in the field.
When several positions span a bounded area, the relevant drawing should identify how the array and its boundaries are controlled. Retain any separately specified edge pieces or termination arrangement. Do not redefine every ceramic piece to absorb an unexplained difference between an overall area and a nominal list of tile widths.
Imagine a hypothetical spare request made from a dimension between repeating tile locations on an old layout. A reader initially calls that dimension the tile width. The original drawing shows that it describes the installed repeat. The buyer corrects the inquiry before requesting a matching piece. This is a dimension-interpretation example, not a Sanxin inspection result or a recommended layout calculation.
Provide Sanxin with the individual part drawing and the applicable layout when both affect the request. Identify which dimension has been verified and which remains unclear. Ask the offered item to retain its actual part dimensions while identifying the layout requirements it is intended to meet.
Receiving inspection can then record the quantity actually checked: individual ceramic width, an assembled repeat distance or another defined feature. A satisfactory check of one subject should not be reported as a measurement of the other. Preserve the accepted endpoint definitions for future spares, including a useful drawing view. That makes later inquiries easier to interpret without relying on a remembered size label or allowing a layout distance to become an unsupported manufacturing dimension for every individual tile.
Check the drawing endpoints. Piece width concerns defined features on one tile, while repeat spacing concerns corresponding positions in the layout and may include a specified joint relationship. Keep both dimensions explicit and use the accepted layout rather than assume they are identical.
