Temporary Ore Blend Trials: Define the Ceramic Liner Review and Return Conditions

A mine may introduce a temporary ore blend while intending to return equipment to its earlier duty. The ceramic liner review should identify that limited proposal rather than silently revise the permanent application record. For a Sanxin inquiry, state which component and construction are involved, what the trial must establish and who accepts its continuation or closure. Temporary operation and permanent qualification are different decisions.

Define the trial scope and responsible decision

Identify the equipment tag, accepted lining construction and proposed temporary feed condition. Record the process information relevant to the contact, including known particle variation, moisture and chemistry. Distinguish confirmed information from assumptions awaiting review. The equipment and process owners should decide whether the proposal lies within the accepted equipment requirements or needs additional assessment.

State the trial boundary in the work and operating records used by the site. A feed-change proposal is not accepted merely because ceramic is already installed. If inspection or compatibility information is incomplete, preserve the gap and the responsible action. The supplier can provide relevant material information without authorizing the plant to proceed outside its accepted scope.

Record the condition entering the temporary duty

Use the approved access and examination process to document relevant faces, edges, joints and retention. Mark the locations and coverage limits. Keep prior repairs and existing damage in the baseline so later findings do not become an unsupported account of what the temporary blend caused. An inaccessible interface remains an evidence limitation rather than a confirmed sound region.

Review the complete assembly against the stated exposure. High ceramic hardness does not establish impact tolerance, while joining materials and backing do not inherit ceramic temperature or chemical capability. A changed blend may raise several questions, but none should be declared the cause of damage before the relevant contact and construction evidence are examined.

Keep trial changes and extensions explicit

Log the actual feed and relevant operating events during the evaluation. If the proposed blend, equipment arrangement or observation scope changes, record that difference through the responsible process. The original trial label should not conceal an expanding duty. An extension needs its own accepted basis where the site requirements call for review, rather than becoming automatic because production continues.

In a hypothetical trial, an initially limited blend campaign might be proposed for continued use before its planned inspection. The plant identifies the unresolved observation and obtains the appropriate disposition. This example does not prescribe a maintenance interval or approve a feed condition. It illustrates that an unfinished trial and an accepted continuing application are distinct evidence states.

Define what returning to the earlier duty requires

A return to the earlier feed does not erase the temporary exposure. Record any inspection, cleaning or other assessment required by the owner-approved plan, without improvising a universal procedure. Preserve findings and changes to the lining or support. The return decision concerns the actual assembly condition, not only the restored material name in an operating schedule.

If a repair or replacement occurs, identify its construction and accepted revision. Pressure, structural and machine responsibilities remain with the relevant equipment review. Do not infer that an old acceptance transfers unchanged to an altered assembly. Keep the temporary trial history available to later inspectors even after normal production resumes.

Close the trial with a traceable disposition

Summarize the exposure encountered, locations examined, unresolved questions and the responsible decision. State whether the record supports return, continued observation, further qualification or another accepted action. A favorable interim face observation does not establish completed life or permanent suitability. The final conclusion should remain bounded by the actual construction and evidence.

Provide Sanxin with the trial brief, baseline, changes and closure findings when requesting material or replacement information. Ask which evidence applies to the identified component and which questions remain with the plant. This keeps a temporary mining trial useful without converting it into an unrestricted ceramic performance claim or silently replacing the permanent duty specification.

Does a temporary ore trial with no reported breakdown establish permanent ceramic liner suitability?

No automatic conclusion follows. Review the actual exposure, inspection coverage and accepted trial disposition. Keep extension and return-to-duty decisions explicit, with temporary history retained and unresolved assembly questions assigned to the responsible equipment and process review.
